The Radiant Professionals Alliance (RPA) is pleased to announce a partnership with Taco Comfort Solutions to provide the first-ever RPA training and ASSE certification program for hydronic heating and cooling installers.

Taco Comfort Solutions will host the 24-hour training and certification testing, to the ASSE 19210 Professional Qualifications Standard for Hydronic Heating and Cooling Systems Installers, from Oct. 17 to 19 at its training facility in Cranston, R.I. Dates for additional offerings throughout the United States will be announced as they are finalized.

RPA Executive Director Mark Eatherton, an industry expert with 40 years' experience in the hydronics field, will teach participants about important hydronic heating and cooling systems concepts and installations. Training topics will include key definitions, system components and their proper installation, radiant systems, tubing, code requirements, system commissioning, documentation, and more. The training will end with the 100-question ASSE Hydronic Heating and Cooling Installer certification examination.

"The Hydronic Heating and Cooling Installer Training and Certification Program is one of the most comprehensive programs that's ever been developed and will properly prepare you for the certification exam," said Mark Chaffee, Vice President of Governmental Relations & Sustainability at Taco Comfort Solutions. "ASSE 19210 certification means differentiation from your competition and increased homeowner confidence in your ability to deliver a properly installed hydronic-based heating and cooling system."

A minimum of two years' experience in the installation and maintenance of piping systems is required for certification to ASSE 19210. The cost is $1,500 and includes the 24 hours of training, the examination, all class materials, and lunch each day.
