We’ve compiled a few upcoming conferences in 2016 you may want to consider attending:
ASHRAE Winter Conference/AHR Expo (International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigeration Exposition)
When: January 23-27, 2016
Where: Orlando, FL
Cost: Free for the AHR Expo. $550 member/$750 non-member for the conference registration.
Why you may want to attend: You can choose the track you’d like to attend based on your interests. Choose from Systems and Equipment; Fundamentals and Applications; Design Build (new this year); International Design; Standards, Guidelines and Codes; Cutting Edge Technologies (new this year); the Great Debate (new this year); and Modern Residential Systems (new this year). There are a lot of new tracks and new information. And it’s in Orlando in January. No-brainer.
2016 NC State Construction Conference
When: March 2016 (assumed date, not yet published)
Cost: 2015 costs were $149 regular fee and $99 state government fee through March 6. Costs after March 6 were $175 regular fee and $125 state government fee.
Why you may want to attend: Not only will you earn up to seven credit hours if you are a NC Professional Engineer, but you’ll also learn about a wide variety of topics related to the planning, design and construction of state projects.
When: March 16-17, 2016
Where: Modesto, CA
Cost: Free
Why you may want to attend: You can find facilities expositions in a variety of places and times around the country. This one has a popular green building section along with information about current industry trends and answers to tough challenges.
2016 ASHRAE Annual Conference (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers)
When: June 25-29, 2016
Where: St. Louis, MO
Cost: Visit ashrae.org for more information about registration costs.
Why you may want to attend: Includes HVAC Systems & Equipment as well as Indoor Environment tracks. This conference is a terrific opportunity to network with other engineers.
When: October 5-7, 2016
Where: Los Angeles, CA
Cost: Not yet published
Why you may want to attend: Greenbuild is touted as “three exhilarating days of uplifting speakers, unmatched networking opportunities, showcases, and LEED workshops.”
We can’t possibly include all the conferences suitable for engineers but wanted to offer a short list of opportunities for the coming year.
